A centrifugal fan is like a loyal “workshop companion.” Regular maintenance can significantly extend its service life and ensure operational efficiency. Are you doing these three key steps correctly?
1.Regular Cleaning: The fan impeller and volute are the areas most prone to dust and oil residue buildup. Accumulations can cause dynamic imbalance, leading to vibration and noise. It is recommended to shut down the unit quarterly for inspection and thorough cleaning.
2.Bearing Lubrication: Bearings are the fan's “heart.” Strictly follow the manufacturer's manual intervals for greasing or replacing with the specified grade of grease to prevent dry-running damage from oil starvation.
3.Vibration Monitoring & Fastener Inspection: During daily operation, listen for abnormal sounds and regularly check whether foundation bolts and motor mounting bolts are loose. Even minor loosening can escalate into severe mechanical failure over time.
Developing sound maintenance habits is the best investment in ensuring smooth and safe production.
